– Simple past tense adalah sebuah pola atau sifat kalimat nan menunjukkan sebuah aktivitas nan telah terjadi di masa terlampau maupun di tahun dulu.

Rumus simple past tense adalah:

(+)– Lisan: Subject + Verb 2

      – Nominal : Subject + was/were + nominal

(-) – Verbal: Subject + Verb 2

     – Nominal : Subject + was/were + nominal

(?) – Lisan: Did + subject + Verb 1?

     – Nominal: Was/were + Subject + nominal
